Chapter 1: The discovery My head is hurting...what hapened? I lay there not knowing what has happened, my eyes still closed. I feel around and i'm hit with confusion. The sand feels diffrent. As the sun reaches the edge of the land the night swallows the sky. We race outside. Scampy and Fang imediantly start playing as mother runs off to hunt. I walk up to my brothers and instantly they stop to stare at me. I lower my forarms and rase my backlegs to signal play. They growl and continue playing. My ears flatten and my chest gets heavy. I walk away glancing back at them, not even paying a single mind on me. After a while my mind wanders off on the new smells. I never been over here. continueing to sniff everything insight. Its a hard life in the desert. Sizzenling day's and freezing nights. Most travelers don't make the first night, and then its free food. We adapted to the climate by sleeping during the day and hunting at night...well mother does all the hunting were not old enough mother says. Even at night the sand still stays at a warm tempature. Sometimes we all lay down relaxing against the sand's heat. After a while mother makes us come into the den. Fennec foxes are common around here, but mother keeps us away from them saying that they are dangerous.
